We invite our entire community to join us in our efforts to honor and advance the mission of de Toledo High School, by making a philanthropic gift and volunteering to encourage others to give.
de Toledo High School relies on the Annual Campaign, major gifts, capital gifts and endowment gifts to not only meet our budgetary needs, but to also provide the “extras” that enhance the educational experience for our students and the de Toledo community. It takes a collective effort of parents, alumni, faculty/staff, grandparents, trustees, corporate matching gifts and other friends to ensure that our school continues to provide our students with an inspiring educational experience; preparing them for success on the path that lies ahead. Your support will truly make a difference for de Toledo students today, and for those yet to come.

Make a Gift of Appreciated Stock
Gifts of appreciated stock offer a two-fold tax advantage: the donor may deduct the full-market value of the securities as a charitable donation (up to the allowable tax deduction limits) and avoid capital gains tax that would be due if the stock were sold on the open market. When making gifts of securities to de Toledo High School, please be sure to give the stock itself, and not the proceeds from the sale. In most circumstances, a broker can facilitate the gift and execute it electronically.
When making a gift of stock, please notify the Advancement Office at the time of transfer and provide the name of the stock, number of shares, and date of transfer so that these gifts are accurately acknowledged. Click here to download de Toledo High School’s Securities Transfer Form.
Match Your Gift
Many companies match gifts made by their employees. This opportunity provides another source of income for de Toledo High School. To find out if your company participates in this program, please ask your employer or call the Advancement Office.
Reminder About Gift-Receipt Wording
The date on our receipt reflects when we processed your gift and does not imply the date your gift was made. While you should consult with your CPA or tax preparer to determine the tax consequences of your donation, the date you delivered or mailed your donation is generally recognized as the gift date. The determination of the contribution date is entirely your decision.
100% of every gift to de Toledo High School supports academic excellence, technology, athletics, arts, college counseling, student life, Jewish life, global education, and extra-curricular programs.
Capital/Endowment Campaign/Phase II
The de Toledo High School campus will enhance our ability to foster our mosaic of pluralistic Jewish practices and philosophies with students from all socio-economic backgrounds, coming together to learn, inspire, grow and achieve. It is our conviction that everyone has something to contribute and our campus allows us to ensure that everyone does. Capital gifts support new construction and improvements to existing structures on our wonderful campus.
The Endowment is a family of funds in which the principal and earnings are protected, in perpetuity, except for a small percentage that is used to support school programs and tuition assistance.
• Objective: To build the de Toledo High School endowment into a major source of support for the school and its mission, so it can support talented teachers, gifted students, and dedicated staff at the second largest Jewish High School in the country.
• Impact: Endowed funds are used for tuition assistance, distinguished teaching chairs, exploration of emerging academic areas or other special projects.
de Toledo High School’s endowment program supports the school’s passion for excellence. Donors give money to the school with the provision that the principal remains intact. Because endowment gifts provide capital appreciation and ongoing income for the school, the critical variable in funding is the size of the endowment. de Toledo High School’s endowment program is about enabling great opportunities – for faculty and students. The school’s priorities are dynamic and diverse, and the school works with donors to match their philanthropic interests to a wide range of needs.
