Girls Varsity, JV, & Frosh-Soph Volleyball

Girls volleyball continued to make leaps and bounds for the sport most popular with dTHS ladies.  The varsity had very close competitive sets throughout the year.  The girls went 2-2 in the Milken Tournament and nearly made it to the finals.  Jessica Birnbaum and Lindsay Workman had strong games the entire tournament.  Jessica Birnbaum was selected to the all Liberty League team in addition to receiving the team’s Most Valuable Player award.  Lindsay Workman was selected Outstanding Offensive Player and Jayme Getelman received the award for Outstanding Defensive Player.  Under the capable and experienced leadership of Robert Rutecki and with a majority of the varsity girls returning, a Junior Varsity team which was extremely competitive, transfers, and incoming 9th graders, the outlook for another successful season looms for the upcoming year.

Junior Varsity Jaguars had a winning seasonTeam award recipients were Sapir Bernshtein (Most Valuable Player), Samantha Pinkus (Best Offensive Player), Jade Lindner (Best Defensive Player), Molly Levitt (Coaches Award).

A Frosh Soph team was established for the first time and the girls gained invaluable knowledge and skill development in practice and sets. Most Valuable Player was Claudia Shemtov Most Improved Player-Danielle Zane
