The Dance Program at de Toledo High School offers three different levels for students: Dance 1 (beginning-intermediate), Dance 2 (intermediate-advanced), and Varsity (competitive level). All three levels perform at school Spirit Rallies and the annual Dance Concert that is held at the end of the school year.
The Varsity Team also travels a few times during the year to participate at various dance competitions around the Southern California area. Some of the competitions/conventions they have attended include: New York City Dance Alliance, Move Productions, Showstoppers, Hall of Fame, Hollywood Connection, and Starpower. In addition to receiving the top awards (Platinums and Double Platinums), they have also been recognized with special awards at some of these competitions, which include: Top Lyrical Performance, Top Contemporary Performance, Most Entertaining Dance, and Top Overall Score. A handful of our dancers have also been acknowledged for their talent and have received scholarships to attend dance conventions and have won cash prizes. The Dance Program at de Toledo High School is a place where students can have fun, share their talent, learn, and connect with one another.
