Boys Soccer

Boys Varsity & JV Soccer

Our Jaguars on the pitch had another successful season culminating in a selection to the CIF-SS Playoffs.   Coach Jake McMillan and Soccer Director Pat Curren guided the Jaguars to a winning 8-5 overall season record and a 4-2 Liberty League finish which was a game out (.083) from tying for the league title.  Jaguars dominated league stats as Shawn Shapiro was selected Most Valuable Player after leading the league in points (28), goals (11) and assists (7).  In addition, All Liberty League selection Alex Shapiro finished 4th in three categories, league points (15) and goals (5) and assists (5).  Jacob Liker totaled 5 goals, good for 4th in the league.  Yair Schmelz had 4 assists, 5th best in league.  Also selected for all league honors were goalkeeper Craig Medina, Roey Mevorach, and Ben Lainer.   Forecasts for the coming year look good as a large contingent of players return in addition to the arrival of several potential varsity candidates coming in from the Junior Varsity team as well as incoming 9th graders.

For the first time in dTHS history, dTHS fielded a Junior Varsity boys soccer team.  The team had a successful overall seasons as a large group of our student athletes gained invaluable practice and team experience.   Captains were Jonah Pearl and Omer Band.
